Hello, I’m Nicole, a clinical psychologist with a passion for emotional wellness and supporting people to attain a better quality of life.
I'm a Lebanese native who identifies as a third-culture kid, having lived abroad pretty much all of my life between the UAE, UK, Canada, and USA.
Whether you were purposefully searching for a therapist or accidentally landed on this site, I hope you find something useful here today.
I encourage you to check out the resources section.
Clinical
I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. I've worked in various settings, including outpatient clinics, psychiatric inpatient facilities (short-term and long-term stay), and hospitals, all of which have provided me the necessary tools to provide therapy to a diverse range of clients from multicultural backgrounds with varying mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Academic
I currently supervise clinical psychology postgraduate students (remotely) at the University of Balamand, Lebanon. I have taught the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses: introduction to psychology; development across the lifespan; introduction to CBT; seminar in clinical psychology (trauma).
I provide telehealth-based psychotherapy sessions in English and Arabic to clients internationally. The majority of my clients are expats residing abroad, citizens of other countries, Middle Eastern, and frequent travelers.
I am trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), trauma-informed and attachment-based therapy.
I consider myself to be an integrative therapist, meaning I draw on different approaches depending on the needs of my clients. I don't believe "one size fits all". I strive to create an authentic and collaborative experience for clients, combining empathy and respect to guide the therapeutic process. I aim to provide a safe nonjudgmental space to help clients heal from their wounds, and to create paths to an overall improved quality of life.
